Mexico: Natural Disasters Monitoring - March 13, 2019

Official Sources: Volcano Mexico On 13 March 2019, the Mexican National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED) reported that the Popocatépetl volcano, located about 50 miles outside of Mexico City registered an explosion this morning at 7:30h (Central Daylight Time - CDT). Ash columns were dispersed toward the northeast of Puebla State and ashfalls were registered in the towns of San Nicolás de los Ranchos, Nealtican, San Andrés Calpan, Huejotzingo, Ozolco, and Santigo Xalitzintla.
