Mabuza emphasises that all land redistribution will take place within the confines of the law. It was the first time the deputy president has fielded questions in the National Council of Provinces in the sixth democratic Parliament. Among the questions, the contentious land issue. Mabuza says 278 pieces of state land have been identified for redistribution. “Some of them are here in the Western Cape, where we want to settle people, the new minister of public works has moved quickly to release parcels of land,” Mabuza said.
