Courtesy #DStv403 JOHANNESBURG - Mamelodi residents are returning after flash floods destroyed their homes. Residents have begun rebuilding after hundreds of shacks were swept away. Among the residents rebuilding their homes is 64-year-old Meschack Mahlangu. WATCH: Rescue operations continue in Tshwane amid flash floods Like many, Mahlangu has been left destitute. “I’ve lost everything I had including my bed and blankets.” While government says its working on a plan to remove residents who live near such areas, many here are getting their hands and feet dirty to salvage what they can. While doing this they re vowing not to go anywhere until they are given an alternative.
