AFP/Emmanuel Croset JOHANNESBURG - The SAPS is warning the public against buying fake COVID-19 vaccines. Currently, vaccines are not allowed to be sold, whether physically or online. The police say anyone claiming to be selling it, is doing so illegally and that buying from them could endanger your life. READ: COVID-19: 1,227 new cases, 81 more deaths In November last year, police arrested four people in contravention of the counterfeit goods act during a raid at a warehouse in Germiston, in Ekhurhuleni. They seized R6 million worth of fake COVID-19 vaccines and masks. The public is being urged to come forward if they know of anyone involved in these syndicates. Currently, vaccines are being administered only to health workers.
