Nigeria s inflation drops to lowest in more than two years in May

Annual inflation in Nigeria slowed to 11.61 percent in May, its lowest level in more than two years and its 16th straight monthly drop, the National Bureau of Statistics revealed on Wednesday. It fell from 12.48 percent in April. A separate food price index showed inflation at 13.45 percent in May, compared with 14.80 percent in April.
