AFP/Aditya Aji JOHANNESBURG - The health department said 3,699 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded nationwide in the past 24 hours and 300 more people have died. KwaZulu-Natal still has the highest numbers, with 932 cases recorded in the province. It s followed by the Eastern and Western Cape, each with over 600 infections. More than 44,000 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours and the positivity rate stands at 8,4 percent. #COVID19 UPDATE: A total of 44,075 tests were conducted in the last 24 hrs, with 3,699 new cases, which represents a 8.4% positivity rate. A further 300 #COVID19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 85,302 to date.
