The development aligns with recommendations of the Zondo Commission aimed at strengthening parliamentary oversight.DA spokesperson Karabo Khakhau said, beyond that [the recommendations of the Zondo Commission] it is also important to make sure that the Director-General of Director-Generals of this country, sitting in the presidency gets to be scrutinised on what they are doing with the country s budget, nationally. It s also important that we have the President and the Deputy President also be subjected to more accountability outside of just the regular question sessions that exist within The House [of Representatives] and that ends there.
